Try Touch

here’s how:

Incorporate more physical touch into your day: Hug your partner meaningfully (for at least 20 seconds). Practice thoughtful touch by placing your hand on a friend’s arm or offering a pat on the back to show support. Engage in physical play with your kids. Practice self-massage - gently rubbing your temples, shoulders, palms or feet. Place your hand on your heart or hold your own hand each day.

Here’s why:

Reassuring touch tells your body and brain that you are supported, releasing tension and even boosting immunity. Bonding with a baby, hugging, having orgasms, and connecting with friends all release oxytocin, promoting feelings of love, trust, safety and belonging.
