Tap it Out
here’s how:
Take a deep breath and notice any tension or issues that arise.
Tap several times on the side of your hand (the karate chop point)
with the fingertips of your other hand.
As you tap, make a true statement out loud about how you are feeling
"Even though I'm (anxious / stressed about a situation / feeling pain / trauma),
I deeply love and accept myself."
Repeat this three times.
Take a few more deep breaths and pay attention to whether you feel a shift.
here’s why:
Tapping, originally called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) combines the science of acupressure with cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help bring greater acceptance into your life. It can be used to guide yourself through negative feelings - such as fear, overwhelm or self-doubt. (This is an abridged version. The full technique includes a round of 9 consecutive tapping points.)
