Here’s How:

  1. Inhale through your nose, filling your belly like a balloon for 4 counts;

  2. Hold the breath for 7 counts;

  3. Exhale through your mouth for 8 counts - as if you’re blowing out a candle;

  4. Repeat at least 4x. (10 is better!)

  5. Practice so it comes naturally when you need it.

This breathing pattern is based on an ancient yogic breathing technique that soothes your nervous system and helps you re-center. Use it to carry you through a challenging time or to help yourself accept “what is.”
